This morning I actually woke up a couple minutes before the alarm and felt really well rested. If this is a sign of how taking care of myself will make me feel- woo hoo! Had a good cardio session and looking forward to another busy day.

Day 2
Well, despite having a hard time waking up for day 1, I got through it. Ate well all day long and had an amazing nights sleep.

workout done
I woke up this morning with the alarm at 5am and I swear to god it felt like the middle of the f***ing night! I planned for this and went to bed in my exercise clothes, including 'heavy duty nursed for 7.5 month's' sports bra. All I had to do was sit up and rotate enough to swing my warm and relaxed legs off the bed and slide on my running shoes and socks- lined up and ready for me. My husband, who I requested make sure I follow my commitment, immediately exclaimed, (well maybe not exclaimed) as he was half asleep "perhaps we should start tomorrow", I DONT THINK SO! I have been putting off this start for way too long. I now have a gym in my home and must workout- so I did. I can't lie, it was hard and discouraging how out of shape I have gotten, but I did it. 32 minutes hill intervals on the treadmill with a stretch after. I did it. If you are considering exercising today, go and do it. You will feel like I do right now, slightly tired but really, really proud of myself.

Gearing up
You know when you realize that all the ways you used to see yourself are no longer? That you had the baby 7 1/2 month's ago and haven't regained your previous body, that you have become one of those people with a list of excuses as to why they can't take care of yourself. Well I have officially come to that realization and I am feeling really blue. Just disappointed that I go to this point. I am looking down at my stomach and the chub and feeling embarrassed. It is time to get up off the couch, desk chair, bed and prioritize my own health. So, I am.
Tomorrow morning I am starting to live a Paleo Lifestyle. I am a firm believer that some of us function better with more carbs and some function better with little to no carbs and more protein- I am certainly the latter. The hard part is doing it. All the crap is easy and fast and I have really gotten into some bad habits. It takes 21 days to make a habit, right? Ok. Here it goes. I really need your help out there, your support and encouragement. This first week might be rough, it might not be perfect, but I am going to do my best and keep you up to date.
Plan for Monday:
5am: Workout 45 minutes, 30 minutes on treadmill, 15 minutes stretching
Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled and 1 apple
Snack: 1/2 oz cashews
Lunch: Salad with chicken & EVOO
Snack: 1/2 oz cashews
Dinner: Slow Cooker Pork loin with mustard and sauerkraut
To starting with a plan, creating a habit, and changing a life.
